We loved our stay at Pea Cottage. It’s absolutely beautiful, and all the little touches really make this place stand out. It has everything you could possibly need – we loved the log burner and the record player. We also enjoyed the treasure hunt! Andrew and Janet were the perfect hosts, and nothing was too much. It was everything we wanted and more!
We loved our 3-night stay at the characterful, beamed Pea Cottage – which we used as a base whilst visiting several sets of friends in the area plus sight-seeing in Stamford. We warmly recommend this comfortable, tastefully furnished & immaculate holiday home. The range cooker & underfloor heating were much appreciated in chilly November!
Another fantastic stay at this wonderful property. The cottage is truly beautiful and is presented to an incredibly high standard. It oozes opulence and is the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring. The Prosecco treasure hunt is a lovely fun touch, and the bottles of homemade cider Andrew delivered were delicious. If you are looking for somewhere special for a break away then look no further than Pea Cottage.
Pea Cottage is a high quality, charming, cosy and very spacious barn conversion at the edge of a little hamlet which allowed us to switch off gently and properly. There are plenty of walks, historic buildings and great pubs around which kept us entertained. Really, really enjoyed our stay.
This is one of the loveliest holiday cottages we have stayed in. The beautiful pictures translate into reality, with an underlying feel of quality. The sofas are deep, allowing you to sit and relax for hours; the bed is made of natural materials and truly comfortable; the kitchen is solid, stylish and functional; and the setting is peaceful and lovingly tended. You can stay in and unwind, go for a long country walk or visit one of the pretty and historic towns nearby. We had a cosy and restful stay and definitely hope to return.

We just returned from a wonderful 3-night stay at Pea Cottage. Andrew, the host, could not have been more helpful. The treasure hunt and bottles of homemade cider were lovely touches (and thoroughly enjoyed). The cottage is beautiful, a mix of modern and quirky. We especially loved the “door” headboard on the bed and the roll-top bath! Fabulous walks on the doorstep and only a 10 min drive into Stamford. We can’t wait to return.
We stayed at Pea Cottage for a two-night mini-break and absolutely loved it. The cottage is decorated perfectly – everything you need for a lovely holiday away. We were lucky enough to be staying during a warm-weather week so we didn’t use the wood burner this time but can imagine that in the colder months it would add to the charm even more. Communication was perfect – cider was delicious, and the treasure hunt really made us smile. We walked to Stamford on one of Andrew’s suggested walks and got a taxi back. I can’t fault the cottage. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hope to revisit soon.

Pea cottage is a lovely place to stay very comfortable, and I would recommend the cottage for guess who like walking! You can walk to Stamford from the cottage which we did .and recommend the White House in next village excellent food and atmosphere.
We’ve just come back from a lovely stay at Pea Cottage and will definitely be booking again. It was like a home from home, we had planned to eat out, but it had such a lovely vibe that we shopped and cooked instead, loved the AGA!
We did one of the walks, Freds and sampled some of the cider made by the owner; it was really nice and so refreshing after our walk. Thank you for a great stay!
We had a very last minute break in this lovely cottage. The decor furnishings and facilities were exactly what we look for in holiday accommodation, and we absolutely loved our stay. The wildflower orchard behind the cottage was amazing.
A very special retreat, beautiful cottage with every detail spot on. Peaceful and picturesque location not far from Stamford, very modern but rustic also. Little details make all the difference here. We can’t wait to return in the future.

1) Firstly, it is exactly as advertised. What you see in the photographs is what you will find when you arrive and so much more. A stunning cottage on beautiful grounds.
The interior design is amazing as is the attention to detail which promotes an environment into which you immediately feel at home.
2) The surrounding area is very peaceful with breathtaking scenery
3) The booking process was simple due to the excellent communication skills of Andrew and his lovely wife who ensure that you receive all the information relevant to your booking, journey and stay, in a clear and concise manner
4)The hosts were so welcoming, helpful and lovely and conveyed a genuine desire to ensure that we had the best stay possible, giving information via text and in person about local facilities, walks and places of interest along with written information inside the cottage regarding appliances
5) This absolutely stunning cottage was immaculate and had all that one would require from kitchen utensils to fluffy white towels. From fun activities to comfortable bed and settees.
My husband and I wished that we had booked a longer stay, but will hopefully return in the not too distant future.

This was an incredible place to stay, set in a beautiful location with a worthwhile walk just out the front door, in a beautiful location, and near to a wonderfully beautiful town (Stamford) and country pubs. It’s the perfect break. The house is perfect, and that’s not an exaggeration. We kept finding example after example of incredible thought and craftsmanship that went into this gorgeous space. The kitchen is well fitted, with class, and really comfortable bed, great bath and shower. Instructions to find your way, plus communication and privacy to come and find your way, really exceptionally done.
We are just back from celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary at Pea Cottage, and it was everything we had hoped for. Check-in was easy with good communication from Andrew beforehand. A great place to relax, Pea Cottage is homely, spacious and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed cooking a celebratory meal on the Aga and relaxing in front of the fire during the evening. Home now feeling fully recharged. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an extra special break. We will definitely return. Thank you, Pea Cottage.

We had the perfect 3-night stay following our wedding. Pea cottage has been done superbly, it has so much space for two people and provided the perfect location for some downtime. There’s lots of nice walks and pubs nearby too, which we enjoyed sampling.

My partner and I had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing few days at Pea Cottage in August 2021. Every aspect of the accommodation and overall experience was superb from start to finish. The cottage is located in beautiful grounds, with an extensive wildflower meadow surrounding the property. The bed was super king size, and the shower and separate free-standing bath were spacious too. We appreciated the extra touches, such as the treasure hunt to find a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and the record player with a selection of classic albums to listen to. Communication with the onsite host was always rapid and helpful, and we were even treated to a couple of sample bottles of homemade cider, which was very kind. We had a couple of days out while staying at Pea Cottage and can thoroughly recommend visiting Stamford for a wander around the shops and lunch in one of the pubs or cafes. We also visited Rutland Water and Burghley House and Gardens, which were pleasant. Overall, this was a five-star mini-break, and we will be booking to come again in the future!
