There isn’t a single fault I could find with Pea Cottage. Set in a beautiful location, the cottage doesn’t disappoint, immaculately clean and decorated in a lovely manner with lots of interesting, quirky pieces around the cottage. It is plenty spacious for two people. Everything is catered for with so much thought and attention to detail. A large comfy bed, a fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, a cosy living area and a lovely patio all made for a homely feel with a touch of luxury. Andrew, the host, was fantastic, a perfect balance of communication and leaving us to get on with it. The little treasure hunt and bottles of homemade cider were a lovely touch. We could have paid a similar amount to stay in a chain hotel but you wouldn’t get anywhere near the level of quality or service. Pea Cottage is located perfectly to visit the local area and surrounding towns, there are some lovely walks in the local area that are well worth doing.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will hopefully visit again one day in the future. Thank you for a lovely relaxing short break.
Such a wonderful stay at Pea Cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful, tastefully decorated and has everything you need. The location is spectacular. It’s a little bit in the middle of nowhere (in terms of walking to pubs etc.), but taxis are easy and only costs £12 to get into Stamford, which has some lovely pubs and restaurants. We really appreciated the peace and quiet and surrounding beauty. Andrew is a great host; very professional, helpful and friendly and thought of lots of nice touches like the homemade cider and the treasure hunt with a nice little surprise at the end! Just a really lovely break in a stunning, very well managed cottage.
Pea Cottage has a lovely homely feel as soon as you walk in and beautifully furnished with everything you need to enjoy your stay and so peaceful will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend.
Stayed at Pea Cottage, managed to get an Orphan Night. It was really beautiful. The cottage was so well equipped and a stunning location. All done very tastefully and not on the cheap. We had planned to go out for dinner but once we saw the view decided it was a shame not to stay put and sit on the patio and have dinner, so got it delivered in.
The hosts were lovely and very helpful with suggestions of good places to eat out locally.

We had been eagerly looking forward to our short stay at Pea Cottage and it exceeded all our expectations. Impeccable decor, thoughtful touches and surrounded by stunning wildflowers. We enjoyed the treasure hunt, record player and tandem ride to the Orangerie at Burghley House. The only disappointment was the brevity of our visit. We felt lucky to have found this idyllic spot. Many thanks to Andrew and Janet for sharing it with us. We can’t wait to return – perhaps in the Cider Huts next time!
Beautiful accommodation with everything thought of and a very helpful host. Overlooking a fantastic wildflower meadow, this characterful stone cottage made a perfect break.

What a beautiful place to stay. The cottage is a perfect romantic hideaway. Peaceful, homely, well decorated with attention to detail.
