Pea cottage provided first class accommodation and is highly recommended if you’re planning a visit to the area and want to treat yourself. The location is rural and very peaceful (about a 15 min drive from the wonderful Georgian town of Stamford) allowing a wonderful nights sleep, helped by an enormous and extremely comfortable bed. Everywhere was spotless and all furnishings were of an excellent standard. A warm and homely base to go back to after a busy day’s sightseeing. Thank you Andrew.
Pea cottage is out of this world and even better than it looks in the pictures. Andrews attention to detail and willingness to help is second to none and yet totally unintrusive. He helped me make my fiancé’s birthday extra special and I simply can’t thank him enough. Genius attention to detail and the fantastic Prosecco trail make the stay fun and memorable. Thanks for a magical stay!
I’m pleased to say that despite reading the many rave reviews, my expectations of Andrew’s property were exceeded! The house is private, with an amazing view of an old oak and gorgeous, high quality fixtures and amenities – right down to the toiletries and fry pan in the kitchen. Perfect for a couple; we visited with our 9 week old daughter and were very comfortable. We’ve stayed in many AirBNBs around the world over the last 7 years and this was one of the best. Be sure to picnic in the grounds of Burghley House while you’re there!
Thank you for letting us stay in your cozy little Pea Cottage.
We totally love it and will be back!

Heavenly Retreat set in a lovely rural location away from any stresses of real life but close enough to still appreciate nightlife and retail therapy!
The Crystal maze game to win the bottle of Prosecco was a fun and lovely touch.
Perfect place to really unwind and chill listening to the record player and the birds singing.
Would definitely recommend pea cottage, and as it was raining for us all weekend (which didn’t impact the stay at all!) we will be coming back for a stay in the sun very soon! – Nothing to dislike here.
An incredibly well thought out and luxurious experience in Andrew and Janet’s lovely cottage. The beams, fireplace, and homey touches made it such a memorable stay. We loved the stylish bathroom, and everything was spotlessly clean. Ben linen and furniture was super comfortable and made sure we left very relaxed and invigorated. We highly recommend the suggested walk, using the direction cards, and really enjoyed playing prosecco crystal maze! Stamford is such a beautiful town to explore, and we had a lovely meal at Zadas. Thanks so much for having us- we’ll definitely be back!
I stayed at Andrews cottage for a weekend by myself in May. I was looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to rest and relax and this was absolutely spot on. It’s across the courtyard from Andrew’s farmhouse, set far back from the road so it’s very peaceful.
You have a great deal of privacy should you wish, with a private patio for having dinner outside etc and a view of green fields. Communication was excellent before and during, and Andrew stopped by to see if I needed anything which was appreciated.
It’s a lovely cottage. Clean, spacious, well designed and cosy. Wifi is good strength, so you can stream movies if you want to. There are thoughtful touches like chocolates on the pillows and guidebooks for the local area. It’s really just a very nice place to cook, sleep, read and unwind.
Nearby Stamford is a charming town just short drive away (about 15 minutes) with pubs, restaurants etc, and Burghley House has huge grounds to wander about with an interesting sculpture park to see, too. I loved it here and plan to stay again.
Really comfortable accommodation with a luxurious feel. It was fun to arrive to a treasure hunt and win the prosecco! Andrew the host was delightful and gave us complete privacy during our stay, we knew we could contact them if required. The crosley record player and records were a lovely touch. It was so pleasurable to relax on the comfy sofas and listen to music instead of watching TV! The host left excellent directions for Fred’s walk – a four mile country delight which we loved. We found plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Burghley House and Gardens were a treat and we hired bikes at Rutland waters and really enjoyed cycling around the water and stopping for a pub lunch. Stamford was a beautiful town and we enjoyed the blade of beef in the restaurant of the White Hart nearby. Facilities at Pea Cottage were excellent, with everything required to cook meals whilst there. The slipper bath flex luxurious to soak in. How wonderful to have a sofa each to stretch out on, and the bed was huge and so comfortable. I highly recommend this accommodation and would love to go back.
My husband and I journeyed throughout the English countryside for ten days and stayed in seven AIRBNBs and this was by far, the best of them all! Andrew’s home is very special. The attention to detail is outstanding. The space is designed with a sophisticated eye, making it not only beautiful but comfortable and relaxing. The house is super clean and the extra details did not go unnoticed. The backyard is surrounded by farmland and we enjoyed a glass of wine each night while laughing at the silky chickens take dust baths, and watching the baby lambs bounce and play. The location to Stamford and Peterborough is desirable with an easy commute. We highly recommend this vacation rental and we hope to stay again!
